Fitrana Kitna Dena Chahiye

Mufti Muneeb-ul-Rahman, the former chairman of the Ruet-e-Halal Committee, has announced the amount of fasting, fidyah, and Kaffara fasts in the year 2023.

What is the quantity of Sadqa-e-Fitr, Fidiyah, and Kaffara-e-Soom? Before going to know the quantity of these terms, we should know what is difference between them. Fitrana is the amount that every Muslim pays. Be it a child or an old man. Every Muslim is obliged to pay Fitrana on behalf of himself and the families he legally supports.

Hazrat Ibn-e- Abbas (R.A) narrates that “The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) ordered Zakat al-Fitr to purify the fasting person from the effects of idle and senseless words and actions that occur during fasting and to provide food to the poor on the day of Eid.”

So whoever paid it first before the Eid prayer, is a kind of Zakat Al-Fitr that has been accepted, and whoever paid it after the prayer, then it is one of the common charities.

Fidiyah

The fidyah amount is to be paid to those who cannot fast due to illness, old age, or any Shariah excuse, and Kaffara Soom is the amount that must be paid to those who break the fast.

So let’s move viewers now to the quantity. The amount of Fitrana is 320 rupees per person for 2 kg of wheat flour, 480 rupees for 4 kg of flour, 2800 rupees for 4 kg of dates, and 2800 rupees for 4 kg of raisins and 4 kg of raisins. 6400 rupees and raisin grade II will pay 4800 rupees per person for 4 kg.

And full 30-day fidyah wheat flour is 9600 rupees per person based on 2 kg of miller, which is 14400 rupees per person based on 4 kg, dates 84000 per person based on 4 kg, raisins first grade on 4 kg. Rs.192000 per person and Rs.144000 per person for Raisin Class II 4 kg.

And similarly, Kaffara Soom wheat flour is 19200 rupees per person based on 2 kg of miller, which is 28800 rupees per person based on 4 kg, date is 168000 per person based on 4 kg, raisins first class is based on 4 kg. 384,000 per person and Rs.288,000 per person for 4 kg of Class II raisins.

Note:

Mufti Muneeb-ul-Rehman says that this is the minimum amount of Fitrana, Fidyah, and Kaffara fast, but those who have been blessed by Allah with wealth can pay more than this amount.
